  • Keep cake chilled in fridge until party time.

  • To remove cardboard base, first ensure buttercream is very firmly chilled, then run a knife under hot water before sliding under cake to release it from cardboard; slide cake directly onto serving platter or stand.

  • For optimal flavor and texture, let cake sit at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, for a minimum of 30 minutes before serving.

  • To serve pressed botanical cakes, cut directly into cake with a serrated knife; all botanicals are edible and safe for serving.

  • To serve fresh floral cakes, remove loose herbs if desired; fresh flowers can be transferred to your favorite bud vase.

  • Leftover cake? Cover tightly in plastic wrap and store in fridge up to a week or in freezer up to a month.
